You must have bought that black 1000?
Any sort of high strength epoxy will work(1500-2500psi available at Walmart, Home Depot, on and on). Be sure to have acetone there to clean it up. It will discolor the aluminum, but you can rebuff with polish and it looks as good as new. Also try to avoid getting the acetone on the wood, a little wont hurt, but too much and you run the risk of spliting it. Clamp the shit out it too.

OK sounds good. Is that what Travis Bean used?....and yes, I bought the black bean. Despite all the naysayers, that guitar is in fine shape. Original fretboard fits together perfect and everything else is fine. Its a really cool guitar! Beat up a little just the way I like, but all original except for 1 missing knob and the pickguard.

From all the Beans Ive seen taken apart, that looks to be the stuff. Ive always used Devco 1 ton epoxy. It sets in 45 minutes and cures in an hour i think, anyways it gives you enough time to fix a fuckup. Ive had to reattach a few fretboards and the best advice is really clamp it alot, theres a bar clamp thats blue and has yellow rubber feet called "quik grip" that work great. You can get them at Lowes as well. Id use at least 4. Just taping wont hold it well enough. Be sure too, to re roughen the backside if the fretboard and the aluminum to give the epoxy something to stick to. One thing too try not to over kill with the epoxy either, the more you leave running in the neck channels the more dead the aluminum will sound. That stuff is really strong, so a thin layer will go a long way. Congrats on winning it though. I think most peoples reaction is that it seems a little nutty that a broken Bean is now worth 4x what a Bean was 5 years ago. They still sell those knobs by the way. One more tip and then Ill shut up. The acetone only dilutes the epoxy, to totally remove the excess youll need to wipe and wipe. The trick is there will be a bit of residue/discoloring because of the acetone no matter how much you wipe, so wipe it 4-5 times and let it sit. then the rest will be removed with whatever polish you use. "Mothers Billet" is the best.
