I'm in contact with a seller of a tb1000s with a black finish. However the finish is VERY beat up. It has many dings and scratches. The back is to great extent worn to the wood. Also - on the front, right above the bridge and rear pickup theres a large area worn to the wood.
It looks kind of bad, and it probably needs a refinish (even thou that would lower it's value).
Otherwise it's all original.
What would you guys think it's worth?

Well, this is a private seller. I know for a fact that he bought the guitar for approx $750. However he claims it has a vintage value (though the beat up finish) and early he talked about it's value round $2200. I'm not sure if I even want to buy a guitar in this shape, but if I do I want to be able to talk down the price as much as possible.
I have pics of it if anyone is interested of seeing the mess.

$2200 is a bit much for a standard regardless of the condition.
they show up on ebay quite a bit so it would probably be better to go that route. that way you can be picky and look for one in much better condition.
i would love to see some pics.
