Here is a French (?) band called Arcade Fire. The guitar player on the left appears to be using a koa Bean. It can best be seen at the beginning of the song. This is a copy of the great France Gall song Poupee de Cire, Poupe de son. She was a teen pop star in the mid 60s and was incredibly beautiful with a smashing voice. Check out some of the original France Gall music. Her looks and voice are both stunning. Anyways, here is another band using a Travis (the head of guitar can be clearly seen at the 51 second mark): http://www.youtube.com/wa.....2bW5cjXzw&feature=related

it's a standard. If you see the 1:51 mark you can clearly see the lower horn is missing. Also it is definitely a Travis. Strange.

arcade fire are canadians!
yeah i remember this bean was sold on ebay around 2005 or 06 and in the description it said something about the previous owner cut off the lower horn to sort of follow the pickguard (oooh, very creative!) .. then a few months later it started popping up in arcade fire performances.

That Bean is in the photo gallery here. Hitting that horn with my hand I often thought of cutting it off, thank god I didn't. I do think it looks kinda cool though...
