TB1000S #749 up for auction. Has a reserve. It has been modified (ouch), one of the horns have been cut off. Looks like pickup switch might be busted off as well. NOS body replacement is possible.. might be a few folks on this forum that have a NOS body for sale.

Ouch! That "decapitated" horn is painful to look at! People did strange things to guitars in the 70's. I saw a strat recently that had both horns cut off....yikes!

I agree! I understand that year of guitar had the 'short' horns.. maybe he didn't know about the wide horn models modifications that were added down the road? I would have purchased the wide horns first.. to see if that helped his hand clearance. At least it was done professionally. I've see some 'hack-saw' jobs.. that were horrible. Still.. weird to see the missing horn.

You think that's bad, well take a look at this one!!

At least it's a Peavey so does not bring a tear to the eye as a cut up TB does. Note the description say's
'As you can see, there has been slight modifications, the previous owner had the Bass professionally custom shaped to give a bit of extra grip and as it is made of wood. On top of that it makes this guitar very rare and original'

I think more than anything, the Krokus decal makes it a winner.

am i to believe peavy made some kind of "cut-half-my-guitar-off" faceplate for just this situation? or did that winner happen to also cut an amp in half or something?
what the hell is wrong with people?

there has to be drugs hidden in it. that is the only explanation. has to be.
like, if i remove that faceplate there are just huge bags of weed or something.
also, did anyone see the auction for that guy selling his "riff" for five grand on ebay? steve albini posted about it on the electrical forum. ridiculous.
