I currently own the Travis Bean cross section guitar used for display at trade shows. (See artist #1234 for details) (Search through Obie's postings for photos of the guitar at trade shows. The Travis Bean factory converted this beautiful Koa Artist guitar into a cross section display piece. By cutting into the guitar and revealing cross sections, folks could see exactly how a Travis Bean was made. The guitar mounts on a stand and was on display for years at the Travis Bean booth during many trade shows and conventions. Though I am clearly a Travis Bean guitar collector this particular guitar is too much of a novelty for my taste. I purchased this guitar along with a few other standard guitars as a package and though I think it is an interesting historic piece it is not something I need to own. Instead I would prefer it found another home. If there was a Travis Bean museum I would gladly donate it but unfortunately there is no such place. Hopefully one day there will be. In the mean time I would love to get this in the right hands. For the record, I believe the guitar came from Obie's brothers collection and my wish would be for it to find its way back together with some of the paperwork and other historic items and be used for historic display.

Email me if you are interested

I looked and didn't see any pictures in the database. Do you have any by chance Vincent? To be perfectly honest I'm not the least bit interested in owning the guitar I am just curious as to what it looks like.
