In the past two to three hours the price went up 2,500 dollars (with nine days left). Quite different from how a recent natural standard faired on ebay, with no bids until the final 12 hours.

Looks like a bidding war between two people. Silly people, don't you know how to bid on ebay? You don't bid til the end, unless you're deliberately trying to raise the price.

I noticed that this morning. There were 2 bid retractions before, but the third one drastically changed the price. Perhaps the bidders are reading the fine print and seeing they actually need to have the money to buy this guitar. "Cashiers check only." Makes me wish I had a cool grand or two on hand, some savings-responsible person could end up with a good deal on this one.

"Cashiers check only."......BINGO!.......cash is king right now. I would say the players who have been wishing for prices on Beans to come down are about to get their wish. The rest of the vintage guitar market has pretty much collapsed. It is a classic market bubble pop! If you compare things to the absurd prices that people were paying for vintage lespauls and strats....Travis Beans are still a deal at last month's prices. But who knows for sure.
