Today, tuesday the 14th, New York Times arts section page B5, article about a band called Foals. Looks like a Standard in the picture, no? Sounds like a pretty annoying band to me.
I don't know if the picture is online or not.

ah, brooklyn. these british kids seem to churn out bands like these from a factory floor. sadly not from "The Factory" floor (for any fans of 60s NY or 80s Manchester). I couldn't listen to those clips for more than a few seconds, but the photos of the guitar are nice.

Yeah, nice guitar. Good to see one being used and it looks like the guy is comfortable using it too. He needs some knobs and a pickguard though

Yes, it's great to see a Bean being used by a young band that's doing well (certainly over here in England).
I used to know Yannis (the Bean player) - he was previously in a band called The Edmund Fitzgerald, who were a post/math-rock outfit - they were really rather good although from interviews now he never likes to talk about them these days! They did a good split 12" with another great British band called Charlottefield on Noisestar Records - well worth tracking down.
Also, I just found this on YouTube - an Ed Fitz live vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SmPbDSxm8U
I was at at least two of these shows, great band. I reckon some of you folks will dig this more than Foals...!
