I need a replacement bridge pickup for my TB 1000 S. Any suggestions?

Acoording to Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth the Fender Telecaster Deluxe humbuckers sound very similar to the TB humbuckers (and they look similar, too). They use them in their Jazzblasters. You can get them at guitarpartsresource.com or angela.com . I just can say that they sound very good.

Thank you, sick. At the moment I use a Fender Lead humbucker that sounds OK, but not nearly as powerful as the original TB. The Fender Lead pu is also out of phase with the TB pu. Will the Fender Deluxe pu be in phase with the TB?

My suggestion is that you get them rewound. I had Lindy Fralin, of Richmond VA, do a pair of TB Bass pickups for me and they sound fantastic. It cost a little over $100 for the pair, and the bass is still basically original.
