About a year ago I started corresponding with Vincent Gallo through his unique website I mentioned I was a Travis Bean guitar fan and sent him a few photos of my guitars. He's very knowledgeable and generous with his time. He kindly gifted me a set of original strap buttons missing from my Artist for years. In our email exchanges he mentioned he was only still buying color finished Artist guitars and especially wanted to purchase more Wedge model guitars and basses. By chance by miracle I was recently able to refer him to an original red finished Wedge bass that was for sale in Los Angeles. (an odd Wedge bass as it has block inlays like the Wedge guitar and not dots like all other Wedge basses I have seen in pictures) The bass was too high priced for me however Mr. Gallo purchased it and thanked me for the referral. As further thanks he invited me to see his entire Bean collection if I ever visited Los Angeles. Well my wife is from San Diego CA and we visit her family every Christmas through New Years. Yesterday I drove up from San Diego and met Vincent Gallo at his downtown building fortress to eat lunch and view his entire guitar and musical instrument collection. Holy Cow!!!! I'm still in shock.
