Hi! Someone posted that their company was doing remakes of the tb 500 pick ups. Did that ever happen? Know where they can be purchased? Thank you!

the prototype copies of the tb500 single coils are a success. had a bunch of tb500 players try them and they are identical. ive ordered all manner of equipment to produce the pus. they are in p90 shells/bobbins, thats the only difference, but it is possible for me to machine the plastic bobbins for direct replacement of damaged bean pus or i can even just repair the old broken ones. the skies the limit. i dont know the prices just yet, but they will be around $90.00.
since these worked out, the neck step is the tb1000 humbuckers and the tb2000 bass single coils. i truly love everything about travis bean pus, they are the best, and its quite frustrating trying to get that sound out of anything else...so now we all can.

Congratulations, I am in line to try a TB1000 prototype .. Just got # 7 a few months ago and one seems weak can i test their output w/ my ohm meter? or what do I need? I'm not sure if it's really ****** up yet or what ... It's A prototype after all ... If i do change pups It'll be w/ utmost care not to mess anything up and save old one .. I might get it re-wound too or new magnet ? I'm a player and want The best possible travis bean tone out of this protopup! It's already pretty damn close ! weee

CT can check his pickups with an ohmeter. All knobs to 10, short speaker cord in output jack, measure across the other end of the cord. Test only in front & rear switch positions. Should be close to 12K ohms in each position. If not pretty close, unsolder & test them independent of guitar controls. Has anyone seen or tried the pickups on a site called www.guitarfetish.com ? If the specs are even close to their claims, their P-90 would be great on a 500.

I have a TB500 with a missing pickup. Some butcher managed to lose it. What replacement can I get within the upcoming month. I have no idea what to put in, what would work and sound good. It would be appreciated if you could mail me at feverdream@feverdream.nl
Thanks Rene
