Can anybody tell me wether the tb1000 model can sound as the 500 model, without changing the pickups of course ?

I don't think so,
The best comparison I can give would be the difference between an SG with p-90's and an SG with Humbuckers. You can get close but they won't ever sound the same.

Good Luck

The humbuckers on the Standards are bright, but compress the signal a lot more. The 500 pickups sound more "open," i.e., less compressed.
