This is mine. Had it for 10+ years and have a question for bass Beaners. I've been asked if this is an original fretless. Unlike fretted Beans there is a strip of aluminum under the fretboard with the markers in the aluminum as opposed to in the wood as on fretted Beans. The markers are in the correct position for fretless. If this was converted someone went to a lot of trouble and expense as they would have had to remove the entire fretboard, install the (1/8" or so thick) strip and mount the rosewood to it. As this doesn't make much sense I'm wondering if anyone has any info on this. The only pic of a fretless I can find just shows the top of the board. Thanks in advance.
