Hello Where are all of the Beans now-a-days? Ebay, seems to be running dry. I remember when there always seemed to be 1 to 3 Beans all the time. Maybe all of those "rogue" Beans have finally found a happy place. koa god

Yes! Just found a nice deal on a T1000A. Someone was selling it on the other message-board at Can't wait to play it! Someone replaced the fingerboard (but since I like alot of radius, that should be cool) and also someone put the pickups and bridge from a telecaster deluxe on it. Don't know what a telecaster deluxe sounds like, but hopefully I'll play it alot and make it forget about previous repairs.

I got my new Bean and noticed some wierd stuff about it (see the full description under T1000A #1412) but the wierdest and nicest thing is that it was built with a sandblasted neck. It left everything except the face of the headstock with a smooth, satin finish. It feels great! Do any of you Bean guys have tips for getting a better tone out of the low strings on a TB? The high strings sound great, but the low ones sound "thin".

Looks like you might have had an imron coated neck originally.. and they sand blasted it clean. on the tone.. I would recommend changing string gauges. Also, it might be amp adjustments. I know I had to adjust my amp settings to maxmize my bean tone. j

I wonder how much of my lack of low-range frequencies could be because of the way the pickups are mounted. They're epoxied to wood blocks (about 1"x.5"x2.5") that are then screwed through like normal. Does the original metal mounting block have much to do with the sound, and if so, what?
