I know this is a touchy subject seeing that the last set went for almost 1800.00, but you can have some made. I got TB1000S that had reissue Fender humbuckers in it(which sounded horrible) and the body looked to be painted with hobby store paint.

I repainted in powder blue.

I took the Fender units and gutted them. I could have used the coils again, but instead decided to only use the bobbin and re wind the coils to the proper impedance. I drilled everything out and used the correct magnets and base plates and made a dead on sounding and fitting replacement. Also it could never be mistaken for an original.

Heres some pics:

Hey Kevin,
That looks great!
I would be very interested in a pair of those pickups for my pieced together Bean. What would you charge? Would I buy some reissue fenders and send them to you to rework? Thanks!

It would be best for you to score the humbuckers, I really dont have much luck finding them. If you could find a dead set that would the best as well just use the bobbins and covers.

If you supplied the pickups, it will be something like 200.00.

Kevin, how would these be different from the standard humbuckers that you wind yourself?
