I noticed that Cheap Trick was not listed in the Bean Bands section....Rick Nielsen has (or had) at least two beans- A black standard and a red standard (both later style models, if I recall correctly). These were profiled in the book that came out a few years ago about his guitar collection.

Anyway, I've yet to see any live footage of him with the beans, but I came across this video that features him with the red standard. There's not too many shots of it (he plays some other guitars during the song also), but there's a close up at about 1:15, 1:27, and also some during the guitar solo.

Weird.. not sure how that slipped through the cracks. Thanks for bringing it up to my attention. Cheap Trick is in the list now.

Thanks!

Rick Nielsen's 1978 Red TB 1000S is #1327, and a wide/thick transitional model. He also has #1163, a 1977 black early style 1000S.

Ace Frehley plays a black early version Standard at The Summit in Houston, Texas on 9/2/77. Cheap Trick was the support act for Kiss in 1977, so it's possible that Ace was playing Nielsen's TB, or that Nielsen may have wound up with Ace's.

In Nielsen's book, he notes the black on as "Played by Stanley Jordan" but no mention of Frehley.

I just noticed, Nielsen's red #1327 is an identical twin sister to my red #1324.
