My buddy and I each bought the Beans in the '70s. We played them for a number of years together in our band. Recently, we have decided to sell our Beans. My question is would it be a good idea to try selling them as a set or should we put them up for sale individually?

I would have to say that it has to be separate. Selling as a pair is nice if you have some emotional bond with both and won't be able to sleep if they are parted but it's unreasonable to expect somebody to be willing to buy both. How many guitarists are also bassists? How many have the money for both? Personally, I am always interested in Standards/guitars but not bass guitars at all and I think you'll find that's the common thought on either side of the player equation. If you can, split 'em up.

Thanks for the thoughts Tin, You are right about players; a guitar player wouldn't want a bass... We would love to get these Beans into the hands of players, we haven't used them for years.
Splitting them up isn't an issue. We are simply two buddies that played Beans together. Not knowing the Bean market, we thought a collector might be interested in a set.
