Painted Bodies

Does anybody know what wood they used on the painted bodies? I have a white Artist body from the last production run.

Take the plate off the back of the guitar and look in the electronics cavity, you might see some unsprayed wood. Even the painted bodies usually seem to be koa, but ya never know...

I've read it was mostly magnolia on the last production run. I have a clear finished magnolia Standard and 500 from that time. But I've heard a few were koa

How does magnolia look clear-coated? I may want to refinish natural, if I can't repair some chips in the white paint.

Mine are both origional finish so the laquer has probably yellowed but here they are
