Why? Well, you have to admit, Beans sound great! I know, it seems almost a crime to do that to one of them, but back then, it hadn't been long since they quit making them.
It was pretty cool what they did though. They were able to keep all the parts except one pickup, the body and some of the electronics. That neck made it so easy to do it, it looks like they used the mounting holes from the neck pickup and of course the skis went under the bridge like the body originally did....... I wonder where the other pickup and the body are right now???? Heck! I'd like to get my hands on the ski guitar, but the skis would have to go....

Because there's always a jackass with a bad idea that fucks up someone else's good idea. I stand by the idea that if it didn't come factory, don't add it. Rather that be guitars or rims on an old charger. The OEM builder always does it better.
