TB1000A #1234 (display guitar) on eBay. This is a very unique guitar on eBay. It was the display guitar used to show various cutaways revealing how the guitar was built. This display piece would have gone to various shows and conventions including NAMM. Was purchased directly from Rick "Obe" Oblinger prior to his passing earlier this year.
Starting bid at $5,999.00

Here is a photo provided by Obe's brother Kurt.

Looks like the cutaway in the neck is different. Doesn't go past the alumi-board like the TB1000A#1234. Both are very cool.

This is interesting. In the notebook Artist #1234 has the note "softy" and "on hold". I've heard that TBG received a batch of aluminum billets that were defective, bad alloy or bad heat treat, and the necks from this batch would deflect too much. These were called "softies" in the Bean shop and created a lot of problems. So it looks as if they took this one and made it a display piece.
Vincent, a couple of things in your description. Although I do appreciate being described as "legendary Travis Bean employee Kurt Oblinger", that of course was my brother Richard. Believe me, when it comes to guitars I am pretty much a complete moron. Also, although I have so far found no mention in my brothers notes (but, I am no where near finished going through them) of this guitar, I am almost certain he did own it at some point. The way the Schecter box is labeled "Box #" is exactly the way he labeled stuff.
Cheers, Kurt O.

HI!
Yeah, there is 2 of these. Like Mr Gallo said, the inlays give it away! The one in the picture that was posted has dot inlays and the one on eBay has blocks.
