I have seen this guitar in person. It is a refinish of a black standard for sure. The clear coat is very dull in person and the wood grain unexciting. hiding a serial number is the dumbest this I have ever heard of. It serves no positive purpose.

$6K is a lot of lettuce for a re-finish - even with a low serial number. I agree the wood is rather un-interesting compared with other koa Beans out there.
