Well, I finally get around to joining this forum, 2 days after my Travis Bean was stolen. Bought it new in 1977, now someone has it that doesn't even know what it is. If anyone hears about #932, I'd love to know... Thanks for reading....mark.

Hello Mark:
Oddly enough, I have just recently joined too (today!). It upsets me when anyone gets ripped off; even more so, when it is a friend. I Googled Kijiji and found a reference to a TB1000, and found out that the ad had been deleted (Montreal Kijiji). I have never had the misfortune of having a guitar(s) stolen from me, but have a great deal of sympathy for you, my old bandmate. I am a member of talkbass and Ultimate Guitar forums, and will pass the word. Please email me at rsears@cogeco.ca, if you will, and give me a little more info re: the Travis Bean guitar. Or, post it here.
Anyone reading this: if you know anything about this theft, and wish to return (or help return) the guitar, please contact me. No questions asked, if you return it.
thanks for reading...
Robert

satyr, great to hear the Bean is back. Bummer about the pickguard. There are some aftermarket non-originals on eBay from time to time.. you can keep an eye out for those. You might also want to contact Electrical Guitar Company, I'm sure Kevin would be able to help.

Three cheers for the return of #932 from the owner of #933. I'm sure Kevin from EGC can help you with the pick guard. It's nice to have a missing Bean thread with a happy ending.
