Anyone been following the sales of Beans on E-Bay? It's getting crazy! A koa standard just sold for $2,750. People want beans. I expect more dusty, closet-kept guitars will start appearing for sale as folks realize what they are sitting on. These guitars are in demand right now. It makes sense as they are such wonderful instruments.

That was certainly an unusual auction, though - what was so special about this particular guitar? It appeared to be a magnolia wood instrument (very light coloured timber), but it must have been very light Koa, given that it was the narrow horn/ thick body version. Anyone have any ideas as to why it went for so much?
