We have reached the point where TravisBeanGuitars.com forum is now a moderated board. The rules are very simple. Please read the rules before posting.
- Posting is restricted to TravisBeanGuitars.com members only. Viewing is open to the public. Becoming a member is free and easy. Besides the ability to post in the forums, members will have the ability to manager their Bean entries and profiles.
- New members will have a approval time period before any posts or threads are viewable. This time period can be lifted under special circumstances.
- No abusive posts or threads are allowed. Abusive posts are defined as blatant attacks on forum members, administrator, moderators or others using foul or threatening language. Abusive posts will either be edited or removed entirely depending on the content. If action is taken (editing or removal of the post) the poster will be flagged with a infraction. If the user reaches or exceeds the infraction maximum they will be banned.
- Banning users. Users that have reached or exceed infraction maximum within an allotted time period will be banned. Banning is final without negotiation. For those that disagree with banning, this level is high, and in the end we do NOT want to ban anyone. Infractions are defined above. All logged in users will be able to "report" abusive posts. Those reports will be sent to forum moderators to assess if an infraction point is needed. We want to respect the "spirit" of the board and the promote discussions about Travis Beans, but personal attacks that are not productive in any way but to insult is NOT tolerated.
- Spamming posts or thread. Any users found to be spamming will be banned. Spamming is defined by advertising good or services on the board for monetary benefit NOT RELEVANT to the site or interests of others of the board. Spammers are usually trying to generate quality back links are often generated via bots. If you have a guitar you are selling, or a manufacturer of guitar accessories, etc. This will not usually fall under forum spam. If you are unsure, please contact us. If you see a thread or post that is blatant spam, please report the offending post.
- Do not post duplicate threads across multiple topics. Please find the topic that most applies to your thread and post only in one board. Posting in all three boards does not mean people will read it faster, etc. Duplicate posts will be deleted.
