OK, I hate to keep beating a dead horse.... I know discussion of these guitars have been going on for sometime.... BUT! I need to know a little something... What were Jerry's 5000 bodies made from????? Koa??? Magnolia??? Poplar??? I know these were early guitars for Travis Bean. I have checked pix of the guitars, even pix showing the control cavity but these are coated, so I can't EVEN see the wood!

THANKS~!
Greg

I'm pretty sure the pre-production 500's were Koa. I can't remember anymore where I heard that, so take it with a grain of salt.

TB500 #18, which my brother had from new (it was actually never assembled) had a Koa body.

Cheers,
