A neck from an early model

this is from an earlier model (low 300s) before they started doing the hollowed out method. This is more like a solid top and solid bottom with space in between. Oddly enough, this neck fit into the other guitar I took apart which was a later standard...this one from an artist.

Yea, pretty interesting, eh? I don't think they used this method for too long. I have already put the other one back together and I did not take close up photos. I messed up. The other design seems like it would be easier to make. Either way, the same result...one more thing to note. I did not take a measurement, but the neck on this model is about 1/4 inch thinner all the way down the neck. I much prefer a wider neck. Unfortunately this is a rare custom color, so I do not want to sell or trade it, but it is a much thinner neck width. I will measure it for all.
