I'm finally willing to part with one of my Travis Beans (I have two). When I bought them (along with a Wedge and a TB500, which I sold only a few years after buying them - DAMN!!), I was in a successful Dead-band called, Timberwolf. We played the Tri-state area in the 1970s-1980s. My keyboard player, Rob Barroco, subsequently joined the real Grateful Dead, and now plays with Phil Lesh and Co. I got the pearl white Bean in order to have exactly what Jerry was playing. I called the co. and asked for the Pearl White Artist #1087. Over the years, the finish has aged to a beautiful yellowish tone. I played the guitar on-stage for around 8 years, so it's a bit worn. But it's nicely worn. I haven't played it in about a decade. It's just been sitting in its case. The same can be said for the Koa wood model. It's a TB1000 Artist circa 1977 #1099. Make me an offer.

Hello rand

Thanks for posting. It is fine to post that your Beans are up for sale, but let's please keep active 'offers' and 'bids' off board. I would like to avoid any public bidding wars on the forum. If possible, can you let prospective buyers know how to contact you (phone or email).

It would be great if you could add them to the Bean registry database as well! Do you have any photos?

Thanks!

Sure, I'll put them in the registry. I don't have pictures yet; I'm going to do that this week. I can be reached at rschwell@columbus.rr.com.

Is one of these still available or did Mr Gallo purchase both? I can't tell from his reply. If one is available, which? Thanks! :)

None are available anymore. Thanks for the interest, though.
Best, Randall
