I have an opportunity to buy a TB artist. Is it worth significantly less without the original pickups???

I'd say so, I wouldn't pay over $800 for a TB w/o the origional Pups

Are you referring to the Artist on Ebay right now for $900??
DiMarzio pickups.. and there seems to be additional modifications to the guitar. Looks like some toggles for splitting the pickups, etc.
I would say that the $900 is high for a heavily modified Bean. Be patient.. they'll be a good one that will come up soon, if you are really serious about getting a Bean.
Bean's are known for their sound. The pickups are a big part of that sound.
That's just my 2 cents anyway.

There is a nice looking TB1000S Standard in white in the Guitar Base. It is selling for $900.. which I would say is a much better deal than the Artist on Ebay. Original Pickups OHSC, etc. I'm not sure what the number is on it.. or if it is a "factory" finish or a refinished deal.
