Does anyone know the material used on the inlays (abalone? mother of pearl? are they the same?). It's a 1977 (Serial # 471). They're definitely not plastic. Thanks, Rick

The side position markers are little dots of aluminum on my TB 2000 Standard(s.n.327). The larger ones on the front of the ebony fingerboard are mother of pearl.
