Whats the deal with the one piece koa bodies? Why do only a few of the Beans have them? My Standard, #782, I believe has a one piece body. I really can't find a seam anywhere!?

I see no reason why they wouldn't have made a few one piece bodies if a plank of koa was wide enough. No reason to cut it in two and then glue it back together again! Have you looked carefully at the end grain of the guitar? That's usually the best place to spot a change in grain direction. As you probably know, there are definitely 3 piece bodies with no seem down the center as in the standard 2 piece.

Charlie,

Thanks for that great bit of information! After looking over the guitar again I've discovered that it is in fact a two piece body. Thanks for that clever bit of information I was ignorant to.

Now I've got to update the database.

Regards
