I found this interesting entry from the migration heritage centre at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney today -

It's interesting to see how an object such as a guitar can come to have such cultural importance and even a place in a country's historical narrative ... check it out:

I guess my head was in Veleno 'for sale' land, and then shifted into 'discussion' mode without paying heed to the niceties of Forum etiquette.

Veleno guitars are in my opinion some of the most beautiful guitars ever made. I was lucky enough to see one in real life in 2007 when RRIICCEE went on tour. It was a terrific sight and intimate concert.

Funypicker,

I'm not related to the Griffith car lot. (there name doesn't have an s.) Most of my family is back east.

I did see the Kansas City show at the Record Bar. I was actually going to fly to the one in NY at the Hiro Ballroom for their 2008 Tour, but I called the place last minute and their was a 21 and up age limit, so I sadly wasn't able to attend.

I live in Carthage, but spend most of my time in Springfield (attending college etc)

Are you from Joplin?
