Slim Body?

I have two TB2000: fretless (SN 380) and fretted (SN 693) My fretted one has slim body than fretless: it's about 7mm thinner, the aluminum block is rectangular, not vertically T shaped where the body attached. See the pictures @ http://imtheone.net/proj/TB-cmprisn.jpg Reading 'info' of the owners someone's are saying "slim body". Did later models have the rectangular block as revised construction? or just experiment? How about TB guitars. Did some of guitars have slim body (rectangular aluminum block) construction? Thanks, z
