Hello

Does anybody know of a tech in the Toronto (or Southern Ontario) area who has successfully worked on Travis Beans before? I would like some work done on the electronics of my 1000A. Basically, the guitar currently has an extra switch installed that does nothing and I would like it to do something and especially work as an out of phase switch for the pickups. Any contacts or ideas/opinions gladly received.

Thanks,
Michael Greenwood

Hey man. Did you have any luck in tracking down a Bean-experienced tech? I was hoping to have mine looked at and the guys at Steve's couldn't do anything beyond opening up the back plate.

My issue is more specific as far as the wiring and getting into the pickups so I never had any local luck, no. But if your issue is a more standard one, I would always suggest Shyboy-Tex repairs on Queen St W...just west of Bathurst. They're definitely tops and Brad looked at my Bean and went as far as he could. I'd start there anyway. Good luck and please post back if YOU find somebody with above average Bean knowledge.

There is a TB standard at Electric Standard ( 1261 Dundas West ) . Zak could help you with that . He
just had an early Bean bass in for service . It was sold by Tundra and the electronics were not working at all . That bass was killer when it was set up properly .
