Been thinking...and watching Jesus Lizard videos (!). I am selling my TB500 (#214 - check the database). I would consider a trade on a pre-wide body horn TB Standard in a nice colour (black pref.) and cash on top.

depends on the condition and desirability of the 1000. But lets do the maths - Last 500 on Ebay went for $3750 I believe. Standards go for $1500 so at least $2250 on top...

yeah it was probably a bit high .. but there were several serious bidders and it looked to be in (almost?) perfect condition.

not to mention the OHSC and hang tags, all the paperwork, etc. made for an attractive investment. i wish i had the cash, but oh well ~

Standards have gone up a lot recently. It is almost next to impossible to find them for $1500 (in decent condition). If you wanted to get a standard right now expect to pay around $1900, that is if you have the patience to wait around for several months for cheap priced one to come up even then it may not happen. The last few non-colored standards I've seen have been going for at least $2000-2300. I saw a colored one go for $2600 recently. No longer are the days of a cheap-good condition bean possible. Unless you find someone who doesn't know what it's worth.
