Hi ! I'm going to the NAMM Show in LA this weekend.
Wearing my 1976 Travis Bean T-shirt.
Are any of you going?
If so we should meet up and do the electric guitar pavillion.
Peggy

Lots of ukes at the show this year ... and some really cool clear bubble shaped drums that sounded good, also the set that Pearl made for Tommy Lee that is mounted on roller coaster rails and travels in a huge verticle circle as he plays upside-down and every which way. The most interesting guitar I saw has an oval computer screen covering about half of the body - it shows pictures that change constantly and can be customized. Moog has a bass that sounds good, and Kala brought a bass-uke that sounded wonderful to me. There were guitars made of scrap metal welded into basket-weave designs -- I picked one up to see how heavy they were - felt like about twice as heavy as my TBG. I saw a bunch of people I know and old friends, none from the old TBG gang. The show was a little smaller than in past years, economy taking it's toll, but it was nice to see that so many people are still inventing instruments and putting their whole lives into making neat things for us to make music with ! Someone gave me an electric kazoo.

I haven't been to a NAMM show in years and would just love to check out some of the cool amps, since I'm not big on humbuckers through my Silver Face Twin Reverb.
