Description

Description:   When I found this one it was refinished with a black & blue marble-effect polyurethane and had a black plastic nut and EMG active pickups. I refinished the body in nitrocellulose lacquer, polished the neck, machined a new brass nut, and added some reproduction pickups from Kevin at Electrical Guitar Company.

UPDATE 7/23/2021

I purchased the bass from Sam Ash back in the early 1980's. I sold it to Bobby Hornsby in the mid-1990's. I believe Bobby added the EMG's then, and then sent the bass to Pat Wilkins for re-finishing. I think he also had the neck chromed somewhere else. Just wanted to add to the record. This bass was used on several songs I recorded with my band, Cut To The Chase. -Manley
