The Bean is in fair condition. It has been PLAYED. The frets and fretboard are worn, the body has been refinished (after the original finish started chipping off the back), the imron coating has chipped here and there, and set screw for the tone knob went missing and has been replaced. Further, in my foolish youth, I added an "out-of-phase" switch to the pickups to "dirty" the sound and all that remains of that is a hole in the pick guard and a patch where I soldered and taped the wiring to return the pickups to original condition. The case that came with it at purchase (purchased new @$400 as I recall) is NOT a Bean case. Other than that (he smiled) the guitar is in fine shape and still plays much the same as when I took it off the music store shelf.
