hey gang, just joined, is there any website where i can identify the year of my tb by the #'s? and also how i can determine exactly what model tb i have? thanks

if it has dot makers and looks like a strat its a tb500. if it has dot makers and looks like an es335 its a tb1000s (standard) if it has block markers and looks an es335 its a tb1000a (artist) if its a bass its a tb2000. if it has block markers and looks like an unfinished flying v, give vincent gallo a call.

ha! nice summarization holmes.
also i got a pretty good idea of when my 1000s was made by reading the database of beans on this site. after you use holmes guide to determine which model you have, click on the database link under the navigation menu. read all the info about serial numbers close to yours in the database and hopefully you stumble across something like "bought new in 1976 at Jim's..." i don't think you'll be able to find more information elsewhere.
