So I have a guitar.... I am not totally sure what it is, but there is a huge chance it is Travis Bean's personal guitar.... I am cleaning out my Uncle's estate and with it many many guitar parts and guitars, Travis was a friend of his, and judging by the custom features and Travis's signature is on the back we're thinking it was his.... its beautiful, dark red wood, and in perfect condition... oh and there are also little divets in between the frets, I have never seen that on a guitar before....

I have lots of pictures though, so if anyone is interested, we are selling it... Im not sure how much... but if you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will either answer or find one. You can contact me at AKCL57@mac.com. Thanks :)

Travis often engraved his signature in to the back of guitars that were made for friends. I own a bass that fits this catagory.

If there are coil split / tap switches, it's possible those were done at the factory.

As far as the "divots" go... Do you mean that if you look at the neck while you're playing the guitar, the wood on each fret looks like a little "half pipe"? If so, that's referred to as a "scalloped" neck. The idea behind that is the string never touches the wood on the fretboard, only the frets. Some people like that because the feel they can do bends better, since the string won't hang up on the grain in the wood. I've never seen a TB with that, so I'm thinking maybe your relative had it done.

You should upload all of the pics to a flickr or photobucket account and post a link here. Lots of people here would love to see the guitar.
