There is a very cool white Travis Bean Wedge bass also on eBay. Anyone know that bass? I am interested about its thinner neck. I always thought the Bean basses were a bit too heavy and fat necked. A lighter thinner neck Bean bass sounds like a dream

I think I recall that this particular, thin-necked bass was custom made for Peggy Foster, former Runaway. I think I read that on this forum or, possibly, somewhere else but hopefully somebody can confirm here.

Very cool bass indeed. Travis Bean should have made more than one thinner necked bass as I think they would have been more popular especially during that era. Brilliant of Ms Foster to custom order it that way and brilliant of her to convince Travis to do it as he was not often talked into custom changes. Kevin from EGC mentioned VG bought the one and only Travis Bean TB-500 bass ever made. A prototype in black finish. Supposedly it has a medium thin very fast neck and supposedly it is a total dream to play. The black Wedge bass being sold currently on eBay is resting in Germany and has been there for many years. The same seller or possibly a different seller listed it a few years ago and mentioned it had neck bow problems. Either reverse bow or forward lift. A friend of mine played it then and said it was troublesome and difficult to play. Not sure if it is even possible to fix but currently this seller makes no mention of the issue. Either it has been resolved or the problem is currently undisclosed
