Hello,
This is Dave Johnson with Gruhn Guitars in Nashville, TN. We took in a Travis Bean Wedge bass last week which is now ready for sale. It is in excellent shape for its age, finish is white (now aged to yellow), electronics are 100% original and solder points are untouched, nice thick neck with a rosewood fretboard and aluminum shim underneath, original pickups sound incredible. Bridge, bridge saddles, and tuners are also all-original and in perfect working order. We inspected it under blacklight and did not see any evidence of finish touchup, serial number 44 is written underneath the bridge plate, inside the electronics cavity, and also etched underneath the brass nut. The initials "A.P." are written inside the neck extension under the neck pickup. I did have to refret this instrument in order to correct a minor backbow in the neck, but re-fretted with the exact same size fretwire (Stew Mac #149). The neck now relieves properly when under string tension and plays like a champ. The refret is undetectable. I did save the original frets and they will be included with the instrument. Original case is included and apart from a few stickers is in great shape, all latches work perfectly.
Selling for $7000.00, will ship worldwide. You can check it out online on the Gruhn website at www.gruhn.com. Please feel free to contact me here at the shop if you have any additional questions, our number is 615-256-2033.
Thanks for looking!
