Description

Description:   2005-04-29: Added TB single coile in between humbuckers in '79 w/ independent on/off switch. Would like to get top carved like TB 1000A to reduce weight, but still plays & sounds great

2008-11-02: Has custom Travis Bean middle pickup (similar to a TB500 pickup...custom installed by Mr. Bean himself. He also installed custom wiring/pickup selection, to be able to use any combination of all three pickups, and use the neck and bridge pickups in phase or out of phase. This guitar was originally in koa wood. I had it custom painted in Jerry Garcia's off white color, done professionally in nitro. I'm interested in selling locally...I live in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, NY. I bought this guitar at 30th St Guitars in Manhattan.

Update: The two bottom toggles are to make the neck and bridge pickups go from single coil to humbuckers (not in/out of phase). The main toggle does the neck/neck&bridge/bridge, and the smaller toggle does the middle off/middle plus whatever you have set for main toggle/middle alone, shutting off the other two pickups. With these 2 toggles, combined with the single/double coil option, you get an extreme variety of tones.. very similar to Jerry's guitars.
