I have owned a Travis Bean guitar for sixteen years. Each time I see another Bean I compare it to mine which is a Koa TB1000s serial number 586. I keep noticing variations of knobs on every Bean I see though often they look like Gibson speed knobs. Some have these cool but cheap looking all black knobs with numbers screened on the outside. Can anyone run a timeline using serial number groups for each type of factory installed knobs. Most importantly when did the all black knobs first appear. Around what serial number? When did the metal TB500 style knobs first appear? And the very odd clear knobs?
