Was I dreaming, or was it just the good drugs back in the 70's. I seem to remember Travis Bean t-shirts! They were black and had silver crew type collars. I don't remember the logo, though. Has anyone out there in TB land seen any of these? Maybe reproductions? I've been a loyal Travis Bean TB2000 owner and player for 25yrs. I'd love to get ahold of any reprints or original promo items.

I don't remember silver crew necks, BUT... we were all pretty jazzed when we got black tee shirts with the "TB neck as low flying jet" imprinted on it. It mimicked a poster & I believe also an ad that said "The Travis Bean Guitar Breaks the Sound Barrier". The graphic was an exagerated perspective view of a TB neck as it would have looked if were a jet flying overhead. Hard to describe but very impressive. Someone should find it & post it.

My girlfriend found some Travis Bean logos and images from the usual sites-scanned them into the computer-enlarged them and used them to make an iron-on transfer for a T-Shirt. It looked good at first, but didn't survive the washing machine very long...and has since faded. We are going to try again sometime soon with other techniques.

Hi, I can't believe there is a Travis Bean Web site! My husband and I met him and went to his garage/guitar production place in Sun Valley in the 70's. He married a girl I worked with. I remember my husband worked for Sony SuperScope at the time, and was going to school for electronics. He was of course interested in how the quitars were made. He was telling my husband how people said they were too heavy and my husband told him to try and shave the middle out(neck). He said that would take too much time, and much to wasteful. So my husband said how about a mold? I also remember a young guy playing a Travis Bean guitar and showing us how great it was. He also had an all silver guitar which had all kinds of beautiful cut outs on it. I don't know if it was a Travis Bean. I even went to their Wedding in Pacific Palacsids on an ocean cliff. What a surprise to see how famous those quitars have become. I also remember him saying he also gave the girl group "Heart" some quitars??
