Is this thing worth the BIN?
May be my only chance to get a reasonable deal on a Bean for a long time.
Frustrated that my band mate was buying up beans for around 1000 a few years ago.
Anyway, I actually kind of like the look. The seller seems unsure if it was a refin. anyway. After all my main concern is the tone of the Bean's although the appearance is quite handsome as well.

Something weird is going on with this listing. Different seller than the previous listing and when I click on the "larger image" I get images of the refinished koa #890 that sold previously....huh????? Maybe there is a simple explanation, but buyer beware....or maybe the seller can speak up and explain the confusion.

If you were trying to sell a vintage guitar for $3,000 would you take five minutes to clean it up before taking pictures to post on E-Bay?
To his (or her) credit, the seller has posted a lot of pictures, but the guitar is dusty and smudged in many shots and looks like it has been sitting in the garage for a few years out of its case.
Do you think it comes with the blue pick shown in several of the photos?
We'll see if it sells this time...

AD,
Way off topic, but I was wondering if there was any news about the band. I'm a pretty big fan, and it's been a while since I've been rocked.
More to the point: I think this guitar will have to go lower before it sells, and patience will pay off.

I am the new and very proud owner of 1276, she was in kinda ruff shape when i got her but still sounds amazing(original pickups but not the wiring and caps). Now comes the hard part of restoring this puppy back to original koa finish and electronics and all. I am a first time bean owner and very xcited oh and i am also looking for a case if anyone knows of one or has one for sale thanks in advance.

Hey, man. Congratulations on your purchase!
I think that some of the earliest auctions for this guitar featured the original pots and caps. Did the seller not mention anything about them? Is my memory as bad as I remember it being?
Good luck with the restoration; cherish every minute of it.
