Garry Shider's Artist (or Standard), Keith Richards' TB500, Bill Wyman's bass, Stanley Jordan's Standard, Keith Levine's wedge, Jerry Garcia's TB500 . Note that Jordan's Standard has the bridge PU removed in 2nd clip.
Also see cool Jesus Lizard clip from the same youTube uploader.

Joe Perry's silver TB1000S at 2:40 !

What if Obe's production logs were made public and some of us discovered we were the current owner of one of the guitars in these clips ? Obe made notes of guitars that were built for the pro players, I'm guessing it would be appreciated by all of us to be allowed to view the production journals.

Fear not wolfie, all of the info will be made available to everybody. We're just working out the best way to do it. I gotta tell ya though that there are very, very, few entries with names against them, and the majority of those names are TB employees. Also, the notebook I have starts sometime in 1977, I have no records for guitars before then. I have heard through the grapevine that there may be another notebook of numbers but I don't know who may have it.
Oh, according to the notebook, Joe Perry's silver TB1000S is number 1738. Interestingly, it was the first 6-string built after the six 5-string Standards, 1732 thru 1737. 5-string number 1735 went to Keith Richards and the rest, apparently to TB employees. My brother had 1734.
Later, Kurt

Kurt,
No question I'll sleep easier thanks to your reply. A pair of white wedges surfaced in Los Angeles about a month apart in 1996, one of them claiming to be the Levene PIL wedge. I'd heard stories about TB working directly with a number of artists and wondered if a production log like that of John De Angelico's would ever surface, and perhaps answer the question of who really has the great Levene.
From what we've seen so far, the journals hold a good deal of insight as well as a few new mysteries. Thanks again, and looking forward to viewing them.
Woof.

BTW,
Do you know the serial number of Joe Perry's midnight blue TB1000A ? Looking at the database, it looks like one very short run of this color appears in the mid 1300's.
