It's a refinished bean. I've seen a few pics. It looks like an early run 1000 standard.

Hey dude, I happen to get a 1000a body and planned on renfinishing it, I thought maybe he had a rare one but I looked up some on the data base and seems like some people like to refinnish them. I don't really care for that wood color. it's not bad but I plan on doing sea foam green or daphne blue, and customizing it with whatever I can find. Denison's guitar is awesome looking.
I need a neck and bridge though, it might be awhile before I have one complete. Thanks for replying.

No Problem. Beans only came in White, Black, Red, or Natural. There were a few custom colors, but sea foam green wasn't one of them. I've heard of a few dark blue ones, and possibly 2 grey metallic.
1 or 2 necks pop up a year on ebay. If you find one, make sure its the correct one for your body. The early bodies were thicker than the later ones, but really the only parts you usually find are from the late production run when the company shut down.
You probably won't find a bridge. Check the posts here, theres a guy that has made a few TB necks and pick guards and such, he'd probably be able to make a bridge for you.
good luck

I sold Duane the Seafoam Green Travis Bean. It was my guitar, it was bought stripped, I painted it florecent red first (w/ a spray can) and then my pal Greg had a Bass sprayed in SF green, so I had the Bean done too.
Great guitar.
