I recently got a tb 500 and to former owner replaced the original tuners with some bad remakes (they made some extra holes to mount them right on the edge of the headstock) I want to replace them with (i think the original) grovers and use the original holes as they have been unused ever since. Could anybody tell me where i can get the original black bolds.
Thanks

I believe Beans came equipped with either Schaller or Grover tuners. If you take the guitar to a local repair shop they can probably determine which tuner your guitar was drilled for and then you can buy or order the appropriate replacements. I replaced the Schaller tuners on my Bean a few years ago and have been pleased with the results.

HI All,
The original black screws for the tuners are commonly refered to as socket cap screws. They are a machine screw and I believe the size was 4-40 and they were very short, about 1/4 long I think. To find these, what you might want to do is to see if you have a Fastenal store near you. The Fastenal stores I've been to are pretty helpful. You can take the guitar there with one of the tuner holes exposed and they can try different screws to find the exact size. The screws are pretty cheap too! I'd bet you could buy a box of 100 for about $7.50. If they have them in stock, you can probably get them for 10 cents each.
The great thing about TB hardware is that it's all standard, not metric.
