I use D'Addario stainless steel 10's or Blue Steel 10's if I can't find the D'Addarios

I've used D'Addario XL 110s exclusively ever since I got my Bean in 1980. I recently tried Dean Farley's Snake Oil Strings (vintage set), and while I like their high-end on the unwound strings and overall playability, I felt the wound strings were too muted and missed the "snap" and crispness of the wound strings as well the the scooped mid-range tone of the D'Addarios so I'm back to the XL's for now.
