i messaged the seller about repairs / mods etc, he says its stock.
but i really mailed him to ask why there wasnt a serial number on the headstock. apparently there is and i just cant see it:
"It's stamped right there in the usual place. Maybe you can't see it on your screen? It's pretty clear in the photo - as clear as it can be. The aluminum makes it hard to see."

"Clear as can be"? Not on my hi-res screen. It appears the serial number is either MIA or has been wiped from the photo.
This is clearly an early model thick body, narrow horn Standard, but it's strange that the serial number isn't visible on the headstock.
