Dream on baby! Aim for the stars, why not? Trouble is, the big time collectors don't fancy koa Beans and "Lonesome Taxi" doesn't quite have the same rockstar cachet as Jerry Garcia. Still, it's a nice looking guitar with a well documented history. I've been wrong about this stuff before.

When I do a search for this one on ebay itself, it doesn't appear (yes, I'm looking on ebay.com specifically). Anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem. It does not come up when I search ebay for travis bean or anything for that matter...strange.

ONLY $25,000. Wow, what do you say about this? I actually hope someone buys it. It sure is gorgeous@! Maybe the documentary is already affecting prices. Then, maybe not.

I think it's not showing up yet because it was only listed 3 hours ago (12:38 a.m. CST Tuesday). I do a search for "Travis bean"and it shows up second.

Maybe it's just me but I think this guy is dreaming. The guitar with the custom inlay work didn't even sell for close to this did it?

sorry if i'm offending anyone who posts here but i've never heard of lonseome taxi.
were the clear knobs really a factory option?
were there really only 755 artists made? i thought there were more. mine is in the 800s- so does that mean mine is worth more than 25k?
dude is out of his tree!
i hadn't considered that the documentary was going to increase the value for all of us, but yeah, i guess it probably will.

Let's not get carried away with this - sellers can ask anything they like, but it doesn't mean the guitar will sell for the price they are asking. Remember there has been a similar guitar on ebay for months, just sitting there at under 7k. If anyone out there really thinks this one is worth 25k - better snap up the nice one with the imron neck first!
